Engine Options
MG Hector Plus is powered in two different engine options – petrol and diesel. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit (143PS/250Nm) gets the standard 6-speed MT while an 8-speed CVT is an option. However, the CVT option is only available on the 6-seater models.
Additionally, MG offers a 48V mild-hybrid system with simply a 6-speed MT for the turbo-petrol engine. A 6-speed manual transmission is included with the 2-liter diesel engine’s (170PS/350Nm) output.
