The MG ZS EV hasn’t been updated in a while, so it might be tempting to call it a facelift—which, for the most part, it is. You get fresh design elements and improved interiors. But this ZS EV variation also includes a bigger battery, a longer range, and more power. These updates elevate it from the description of a “facelift” to that of an actual update. Social media is buzzing with enthusiasm over the ZS EV. As a result of the improvements, the ZS becomes a more tempting purchase.

Interiors

The MG ZS EV’s interior has been modernized. The ZS EV has a much more technical vibe thanks to more digital space and a perfectly placed dashboard. The 10.1-inch touchscreen entertainment display in the center console outshines the 7-inch digital instrument cluster, which is elegantly designed. The rotary wheel for selecting drive and reverse is there, along with the three buttons for mode switching, setting up KERS, and showing battery data on the LCD.

The back of the MG ZS EV seems to be cozy. The seats are pleasant, and there is enough legroom and headroom. Three people may find it extremely easy to fit in the rear. The armrest has cupholders, the center passenger has a separate headrest, and the floor is fully flat, all of which are excellent for ultimate comfort.

Performance

The battery capacity of the ZS EV has grown by 5.8 kWh, from 44.5 kWh to 50.3 kWh. Along with it, there is an increase in horsepower, from 141 to 174. Given that range is directly related to the larger battery, range should come first. The current range claim for the MG ZS EV is 461 kilometres. In comparison, this is rising by about 30 kilometres. This is a sufficient jump because it would take 30 kilometres to reach the next charging station.

Another outstanding aspect of the MG ZS EV is the ride quality. Despite being a large vehicle, it has excellent body control and easily navigates Indian highways. It handles potholes and uneven terrain wonderfully, absorbing the imperfections well and preventing the cabin from being overly noisy from the suspension (essential in an EV since there is no motor to muffle the vibrations). Meanwhile, the handling is excellent. The steering is direct, and you can tell MG ZS EV to turn in the direction you want it to.
